No. Messages and files are encrypted on your device with a key only you and the other person can work out. We can see account details and when messages are sent, but never what they say. The privacy policy has the full picture.
You can reset it from the sign-in screen with a code sent to your email. Because your keys are locked with your password, older messages may not be readable afterwards on a new device, and we can't recover them. The help page explains more.
